Yummy Diet Kitchen: Classic Coco Natura® Brownies


Testing out this yummy & healthy recipe from Coco Natura®!

Every weekend, the Yummy Diet Kitchen is very busy testing new healthy recipes to serve in our meal plans. This week, we’re going all-out coconuts on Coco Natura’s brownie recipe! A little info on coconut sugars: compared to usual white sugar, coconut sugar have lower glycemic index. Meaning, it’s 50% less sugar spike compared to regular table sugar. Spike on blood sugar leads to sugar rush and may cause insulin levels to soar. Not only that, we all know that coconut is a very healthy fruit, right? 😀

Moving on to the recipe.. try using Coco Natura® on brownies for healthier pastries!

Classic Coco Natura® Brownies


70g dark cocoa
125g all purpose flour
1 cup butter
400g Coco Natura® Coco sugar

2 whole eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract


  1. Sift the dark cocoa and all purpose flour together in a mixing bowl, set aside
  2. Cream the butter with Coco Natura® in another mixing bowl
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time
  4. Add the vanilla extract
  5. Fold in the cocoa and flour mixture
  6. Mix to combine
  7. Pour mixture into a 11 x 13 inch pan
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove to a rack to cool.
  10. Cut into bars & Enjoy!
