Low Cal or Low calorie is a calorie-counted meal plan for adult men and women. The diet is based on the average caloric intake of healthy adults with a 500-1000 calorie reduction, depending on the client's need and target/goals.
The Low Cal diet is intended for generally healthy individuals who want to manage their weight. It is not a restrictive diet and is not a hypoallergenic diet, vegan diet nor gluten-free diet, but minor food restrictions can be accommodated. Basically, this diet packs a piece of everything food has to offer in moderate and balanced amounts.
The lowest calorie program offered is 1200 calorie ( Low Cal Lite), which is the minimum caloric requirement to maintain normal body functions. It is also the lowest daily calorie with the least risk of metabolic diseases.
